How to seat guests

Give every person a chair and a reason to sit with the people beside them.

1. Step 1

   Count chairs against the guest list, including the hosts.

2. Step 2

   Seat people who need access — elders, speakers — closest to the aisle.

3. Step 3

   Keep households together unless they asked otherwise.

4. Step 4

   Leave a few open seats for late arrivals.
